Wellbeing

Welcome to all our new and returning families! We’re excited to begin another year of learning and growth together. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or continuing your journey with us, we value your partnership and look forward to a wonderful year ahead. As the school’s Wellbeing Leader, I’m especially committed to supporting the social, emotional, and overall wellbeing of every student and family in our community.
I would like to introduce our new families to SchoolTV, a wellbeing tool used here at Sacred Heart that supports families with timely, evidence-based information around student wellbeing. Its purpose is to engage, educate and empower parents with wellbeing knowledge so you have the tools to deal with challenges of raising happy, resilient young people and the ability to notice the early signs in your children before a problem develops.
A new episode will be added to the Wellbeing page of each newsletter.
If you have any queries about your child's wellbeing, please don't hesitate to reach out for assistance as early intervention is quite often the most effective.
I can be contacted via the school's phone number 52315292 or by email pmaddern@shcolac.catholic.edu.au

SchoolTV topic this week
"Talking about bushfires to support children. When children are provided with clear, age-appropriate information, opportunities to express their feelings, and reassurance from calm, trusted adults, they are better able to regulate emotions, cope effectively and recover with confidence over time."
