Project Compassion
As we approach the season of Lent, our school will once again take part in Project Compassion, Caritas Australia’s annual Lenten appeal. Project Compassion invites us to live out the Gospel values of love, generosity, and justice by supporting vulnerable communities both in Australia and around the world.
Throughout Lent, students will learn about real people and communities who are working to overcome challenges such as poverty, inequality, and the impacts of climate change. Through classroom learning, prayer, and fundraising, students will be encouraged to reflect on how their actions, big or small, can make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Project Compassion also connects strongly with our Catholic Social Teachings, particularly the dignity of every person and our call to care for our common home. As a school community, we are proud to support this important initiative and to help our students grow in empathy, compassion, and a sense of responsibility for others.
More information about Project Compassion activities and ways families can support this appeal will be shared over the coming weeks.
Thank you for your continued support of Sacred Heart and the values we seek to nurture in our students.
