Welcome to Our New Staff in 2026
Welcome Angela Murray to Year 6.
Hello Great Ryrie community. I’m Miss Murray (the other one!), and I’m excited to be teaching Year 6 at GRPS in 2026. You might recognise me from around the school as I've worked here as a casual relief teacher over the past two years. I love the welcoming atmosphere and happiness as I move around the school and look forward to joining the staff in a more official capacity. When I'm not in the classroom, I like to camp and holiday with my family and friends, preferably chasing the sunshine!
Welcome Dr Ian to Performing Arts as a Teaching Specialist
Dr Ian Nisbet has spent the last 13 years teaching in his private music studio earning a reputation as one of Australia's leading Broadway musical theatre vocal coaches. He has been an active member of the Melbourne theatre community since 1996 appearing on stage and behind the scenes in over 40 productions and sang countertenor in the internationally acclaimed a cappella group Saude from 2003-2011. He has a wife and young daughter, two dogs, loves D&D and a good video game, and is looking forward to entering the classroom as a Performing Arts Specialist in 2026!
Welcome Kara Douglas
I am very excited to be joining the Grade 3 team at GRPS after
spending this year at the school as a Casual Relief Teacher. I have taught for a number of years and feel grateful to have now settled back into Heathmont and to be part of such a welcoming and supportive school community. I am really looking forward to continuing to build strong relationships with the students, families and staff at GRPS.

Hello GRPS community!
My name is Kate Price and I am so looking forward to being a part of this wonderful school. I have been teaching for 13 years, and as the daughter of Mrs Nicholls, I know first hand just how lucky I am to be in Grade 3 next year.
