Impressive results for Regional Reps
A number of our students have certainly had an action-packed week this week, with the fun of juggling Camp or Confirmation, and then combined it with a quick turn-around to participate in the SMR Athletics carnival on Wednesday!
We’d like to extend a massive congratulations to these 12 students who despite not placing top 2, put in 100% effort and should be proud of making it to Regional level.

UPCOMING WHOLE SCHOOL EVENT
St Finbar's Swimming Carnival: Friday 24th November
Next week, all families will receive an Operoo with all details regarding our upcoming Whole School Swimming Carnival. All students will travel by bus to MSAC and participate in swimming events in the outdoor, under-cover pool. The Junior and Senior carnival will be run in the same pool, with a boom helping separating the two carnivals. Juniors will swim in 3 events (with supporting staff with noodles & kickboards in the pool), whilst our Year 3-6’s will participate in between 1 – 5 events, which they pre-select via a Google form. This will also be sent out next week.
PARENTS: please lock this date into your diaries now! This event does require the wonderful support from numerous parent helpers for both the Junior (P-2) and Senior (3-6) carnivals. An Operoo email with all relevant details will be sent out to all families in the next couple of weeks.
GOOD LUCK TO OUR Year 3/4 Cricket Blast Teams!
We wish our three teams of Year 3&4 cricketers all the very best for their Cricket Blast tournament tomorrow (Friday).
NOTE: Venue change! Now: Darling Park (Basil Reserve), Basil St, Malvern East.
Many thanks to the many parents that have kindly volunteered to assist with scoring for their child’s team. All helpers have been emailed details for the day, including a set of Cricket Blast rules and an example of the scoring sheet.
Please refer to the Operoo for all details of what to wear, bring and school arrival time.
Thank you!
RETURN of all BORROWED SPORT SINGLETS, FOOTY JERSEYS & SOCCER SHIN GUARDS.
If we can please ask all families to have a good search at home & ensure their child has handed back all borrowed Football, HoopTime, Winter Sport & Lightning Prem sports singlets/jerseys & shin guards please. We still have a few shin guards & jerseys to be returned. Please ask your child to hand them back into the office for Mrs Thompson to collect. THANK YOU!
Mrs. Tania Thompson
