General Information & Reminders

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to Term 4. We hope you’ve all had a great break. 

Camp is fast approaching towards the end of the term and the teachers are busy organising the final pieces to make it all happen. Lots of information will be coming out soon and we will conduct regular classroom discussions and year level meetings to answer the multitude of questions that the students have. Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered their time to attend this year, we wish we could take you all. We couldn't do it without your help!

A new homework grid will be sent out in Week 3. Please also remember to continue with the following:

• Regular independent reading to promote enjoyment and interest. (Please remember to sign your child’s diary to confirm they have read to you at least once during the week).
• Gaining fluency in the recall of multiplication facts - 2x, 3x, 5x, and 10x and beyond, depending on understanding and ability.
• Practice of weekly spelling words (this may be verbal or handwritten)
• This term we would like the students to spend 20 minutes on Literacy Planet and 20 minutes on Mathletics each week.  This could be broken up into 10 minute sessions or completed all at once. For those students who complete their Literacy Planet tasks, Word Mania is available through the program for students to practise their spelling. There will be tasks set that will complement the learning that has been taking place in the classroom. Their login details are in their diaries.

Homework is due on Tuesdays and diaries will be checked on Thursdays.
