SRC Training Day

On the first Friday of this term, 8 students from the GCSRC attended the Banyule Youth Services SRC Training Day.  

The day had a positive outcome with many students discussing relevant issues within the school and community, identifying many problems and accessible solutions. We came up with ways to improve the SRC and the school as a whole. 

We partook in many educational and engaging activities that allowed them to deliberate on matters surrounding local schools. Some of these activities included debating the pros and cons of different forms of activism and figuring out ways to amplify student voices throughout the school. 

The SRC listened to guest speakers who helped us discover further leadership opportunities and what to do when those opportunities arise.
