VCE Art & Media Show

This year’s Art show featured the talented works of 2023 from subject areas across the senior levels such as Year 12 Art Exhibiting and Making, Visual Communication Design, Media; Year 11 Art Exhibiting and Making, Visual Communication Design; and Year 10 Art, Surface Design and Visual Communication Design. The works put up by the Year 12s showed the standard of work that was expected at VCE and their hard work and dedication has paid off for the year of 2023.

In the wake of their last exam, four highly talented students from this year's Year 12 Art Making and Exhibiting class worked together to curate and exhibit an end of year show that proudly displayed the work of their Year 11 & 12 peers.

 

Under a very tight timeframe, Year 12 students Alyse C., Aiden R., Luke R. and Katie J., were able to efficiently and collaboratively move through each aspect of the exhibition's design, working through tasks ranging from drilling pilot holes into the backs of canvases, to thematically grouping artworks.

 

As a result of their skills and efforts, the end of year show was very well received by the wider school community. Their efforts in bringing these artworks together did a great job of showing what was an incredibly strong year of 11 & 12’s, whose artworks show a wide breadth of ideas and materials.
