Principal’s Report

Mr Prasad

Dear students, parents and carers,

As we bid farewell to another academic year, it is with great pride and joy that I reflect on the remarkable achievements and collective spirit that have defined the past months at Merrylands High School.

Our students have upheld our school ethos, being safe, respectful learners in many areas, from academic excellence to artistic prowess. I am delighted to share that our recent excursions to the Art Gallery of NSW and the Powerhouse Museum have not only broadened horizons but have also ignited a passion for creativity and innovation. The feedback from students, teachers and community members of our students engaging with the rich cultural tapestry of these institutions has been a testament to the power of experiential learning.

Within our school grounds, vibrant in-school incursions and activities have showcased the diversity that makes us strong. From practical units of work to collaborative teaching practices, students across each year group have demonstrated a high level of achievement across subjects and faculties, reminding us of the depth of their potential. Moreover, the resounding success of our Talent Quest left us in awe of the extraordinary creativity in our student body.

As we look back on this school year, let us celebrate the achievements, both big and small, that have collectively shaped our school’s story. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated teachers, support staff, parents, and most importantly, our exceptional students for making this year one of growth, discovery, and success.

Wishing everyone a restful and refreshing break over the Christmas and New Year school holidays.
