Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to Term 4! I hope the school holiday period has provided your families with some relaxation in readiness for the final stage of the school year.
Art Show 2023 - the countdown is on!
We are getting closer to the St Simon’s Art Show and looking forward to seeing families join us on Wednesday 18th October from 5:30pm for the official opening.
Prep 2024 Transitions Meetings
Over the next three weeks, I will meet with each family with a prep child joining us in 2024, focusing on finding information to assist with a smooth transition to primary school. It is a real privilege as a school leader to sit down with each family to have this conversation as we welcome our newest students to the St Simon’s Community.
2024 Class Requests
We will commence working on class lists later in the term so any families who have specific requests for student placement for 2024 classes must either email me (principal@ssrowville.catholic.edu.au) or make an appointment to discuss the specific learning or wellbeing needs of their children by FRIDAY 20th OCTOBER. Please this is not an opportunity to request to be in the same class as a friend nor an opportunity for “teacher shopping”.
Enrolment for 2024
School organisational planning for 2024 is well underway, assuming all students enrolled in form Prep to Year 5 will return in the 2024 school year. If this is not the case, I ask that you contact the school office immediately, notifying your intentions. This information assists the school leadership immensely with the planning and resourcing for the 2024 school year.
Sympathies and Condolences
We continue to keep David and Alexander (5B) Hackett in our thoughts and prayers as they grieve the sudden loss of wife and mother Madeleine, during the school holidays. We also keep in mind members of our community who knew Madeleine and offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to them.
Uniform Shop Spartan School World - Official Launch
We are looking forward to commencing our new uniform service partnership with Spartan School World commencing from 9th October. The price lists and information below outline the new service.
