GS Rockets

The GS Rockets got term 4 off to a good start with a 28-19 win over the Pedare Stars.  Layla had an outstanding game that contained plenty of down the court dribbling, defensive steals and baskets.  Elijah pressured the opposition and defended hard all match and Jonte and Hunter created multiple scoring opportunities for both themselves and teammates.

GS Little Jordans

We were excited to play our first game after having a break. All players were hungry for the ball and our defence was strong in the first half. We continue to have fun, and are learning and building our skills every time we play. Star players Archie & Phoenix.

GS Thunder

Straight back to it week 1 with an exciting win over a strong team in CH Eagles. I think everyone was practicing over the holidays. Our strong defence gave lots of extra opportunities at the hoop. And great to see confidence building for all players especially Jacob taking some shots on goal and Bodhi with his highest score. Well done team.

GS Raptors

A tough game for the GS Raptors on Thursday afternoon going down 21-54 to the undefeated GGLPS Shining Stars.  The Shining Stars are a team of very tall and talented basketballers.  At half time, we set a goal to score 20 points and the team achieved that and that put some respect on the scoreboard.  The Raptors will need a much stronger defensive game in order to beat the Stars next time round.

GS Stars

The GS Stars enjoyed their first game for the new season, celebrating 3 big goals! It was wonderful to welcome Harla and Ivy to our team and celebrate Harla’s first ever goal and some great defensive work by Ivy. There was some amazing centre court magic by Matilda and Clara and some wonderful passes and assists by Aniko and Amelia. Looking forward to a great season ahead!
