OUR FAITH

PRAYER

Loving God, speak to each one of us in your still small voice, and grant us your peace which passes understanding, that quiet confidence which only you can bring, and so may our burdens be lifted and our souls refreshed. Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Amen

We pray ...

for..... the Confirmation candidates, for all Year 12 students in particular the McCarthy Catholic College students as they embark on completing their final days of schooling,

LITURGY NEWS

Next Wednesday some of our Year 4 students will have the opportunity to attend Reconciliation.

SACRAMENTS

Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by Fr Chris in our St Nicholas Parish this weekend Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September. Please keep these candidates in your prayers.

Confirmation Retreat

Tomorrow Year 6 students and staff will participate in the Confirmation Retreat Day at St Nicholas School in the library. Throughout the day the students will be joined by Year 10 McCarthy students, St Nicholas Parishioners and Fr Chris. This Retreat is an opportunity for students to pray, reflect, share stories and experiences and take stock of their faith journey with peers and adults alike. Fr Chris will speak with the students in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Students are reminded that they are to wear their full school uniform.

Confirmation Reconciliation

A reminder that the Confirmation candidates are required to attend Reconciliation on this evening Thursday 7th September beginning at 5.30pm at St Nicholas Church. If the candidate is unable to attend they will need to make themselves available to attend the Reconciliation on Saturday 9th September between 4.00pm-5.00pm at St Nicholas Church.

FATHER'S DAY CELEBRATION - Thank You!

A special breakfast and liturgy was held last Friday for our fathers and I would like to thank all the parents, students, teachers and Fr Chris who made the morning so meaningful. Thank you also to those who attended. The students always enjoy your company at school and many take pride in having the opportunity to play, pray and worship together. We hope that our Fathers had an enjoyable Father’s Day and were spoilt in one way or another by their families.
