Learning, growing and celebrating together...
Dear Sacred Heart Kew Families,
To say that our School Musical the other week was a resounding success would be the understatement of the century. Wow, what a night! I told you the show wouldn’t disappoint…
I'm sure that you feel similar, with your heart full of joy and a head still spinning from the magic we witnessed on stage. I would like to extend a massive thank you to each and every one of you who were able to join us last Monday night. Your support means the world to all of us. To our families, friends, and everyone in the audience, your love and encouragement no doubt fueled the performance. Thank you for being our biggest fans.
To our AMAZING crew behind the scenes - our unsung heroes who worked tirelessly to make sure everything ran smoothly - the backbone of the production. Lights, sound, props, costumes and makeup, and everything in between. You all turned our vision and words on a page into a dazzling reality. Thank you to our supportive parents for pitching in whenever the call was sent out. Your support and efforts are commendable and we couldn’t have achieved the highs without your assistance.
To our UNBELIEVABLE cast members, our extremely talented children - the stars of the show. What a journey you have been on. From the first awkward rehearsals to the electric energy you provided on stage. We simply couldn't have asked for a better group of main and supporting cast members, who were ably supported by our ensemble children. Each of you brought something unique to the production, and together, you really did create something truly remarkable.
A massive thank you to all our teachers and staff. It really was a team effort from all our WONDERFUL staff here at Sacred Heart Kew. From the moment the production began, since that very first day, you have all been so generous and flexible with your time and efforts, contributing a great deal of blood, sweat and tears, so that this production could be such a success. My sincere thanks and praise to all our staff members. I know I say it often, but we really are so very fortunate to have a school with so many dedicated and talented teachers, always willing to go the extra mile for the children. It’s humbling to be a part of such a generous staff.
And last, but certainly not least, yes, it was a team effort, but there is only one Libby Mulhall in our team. Many, many thanks to Mrs Libby Mulhall and her outstanding production team, for their vision and execution of a spectacular showing of Disney The Lion King Jr. Libby and her production saw our incredible potential, helping many of us discover talents that we didn't even know we had. Thank you to Libby and her team for all their organisation and guidance, we’re most grateful for all your efforts and inspiration.
I believe that this experience has been more than just a school production - it's been a journey of self-discovery, teamwork, friendships forged and unforgettable memories. It has also been a magnificent school community moment. Let us now carry the lessons we learned from our talented and charismatic children (jungle animals), holding their performance in our hearts, as we continue to sing ‘Hakuna Matata’ in the depths of our hearts and minds for the remainder of 2023 and beyond.
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend.
Kind Regards,
Ed Weekes
School Principal
