Angela's Message

Dear Families,

Term 4 has kicked off and the students have transitioned back into their school routine without skipping a beat. This is not to be taken for granted but is testament to the positive attitude you all have towards our educational setting. I thank you.

We were all alarmed and saddened to hear of the turmoil in Israel but were pleased to know that Denise had left the middle east and is now in Europe and did not get caught up in anything. Denise has continued her travels through Europe with her husband Nigel, her sister and brother in law and is currently on her way to London. Denise will be returning to Australia next week and will be back at St. Michael's for the beginning of week 4.

CONGRATULATIONS

We extend our congratulations to Andrea and Justin Kirby who has welcomed their second child, Anna Jillian Kirby, this week. Mum, Dad, big brother George and bub are all settling into life as a family of four.

BOOK FAIR

We had a very successful book fair during our book week, selling $2,601.00 worth of texts and trinkets which equates to about $600 worth of credits for the school to spend on resources through Scholastic. Thank you all for your support with our book fair.

DENTAL VAN

The dental van will be on site at St. Michael's next week from the 18th to the 20th of October. This is later than we had originally been informed but at St. Michael's we are flexible and we make things work.

2024 ENROLMENTS

We are approaching the end of another school year which means we are looking ahead to 2024 for class numbers, staffing, the physical environment and where learning communities will best suit/fit. If you are not returning to St. Michael's in 2024 (with the exception of our year six students) can you please inform the office at your nearest convenience.

PERSONAL UPDATE

Some of you may have noticed my coming and going throughout the school day at unusual times. I wanted to inform you all that my husband has cancer and is currently undergoing quite aggressive chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment with the hopes to reduce the tumour and enable it to be safely removed through surgery. This has been a busy and difficult time for my family and I. Please keep my husband, Wayne, in your prayers.
