Word of the Week
Each time a student uses our "Word of the Week" in the classroom they will be awarded a point and the student with the most points at the end of the term will receive a book to further expand their vocabulary.
We will publish our Word of the Week on Facebook and in the newsletter. Please support your child to use this word at home.

End of Term
This Thursday 21st September sees the end of another busy and productive term. We would like to wish all our St Ed's staff, students, and their families a wonderful, safe and relaxing holiday break.
Term 4 commences for all students and staff on Monday 9th October. Please note all students are expected to be in FULL SUMMER school uniform for the start of term.
School Fees
Please note that Term 3 school fees were due 1st September 2023. Thank you to those families who have already paid and also to those who maintain regular payments. Payments can be made via automatic weekly/fortnightly BPAY, Compass Pay, Cash or Eftpos. Monthly school fee statements were emailed out on the 8th September. The sender was noreply.schoolfeestatement. Please phone Mel Salvestrin on 02 6765 7847 if you did not receive your fee statement or if you would like to make an appointment to discuss a payment plan.
Helping Others - Wigs 4 Kids 2023
We are super proud of Alexa in Year 2 who recently had her beautiful long hair cut much shorter. Her hair was donated to 'Wigs 4 Kids' who make wigs for children experiencing hair loss due to medical conditions. Your thoughtfulness and kind nature in helping others is truly to be admired Alexa!

Student Absences
Please remember that all absences must be explained within 7 days of your child being away. You will receive an automated SMS message at 10.00am on the day to remind you to explain the absence on the Parent Compass Portal.

COVID Safe Measures
Please continue to monitor your children for any Covid symptoms particularly as we enter the winter months. If a student or staff member is unwell and has any symptoms they should always test for COVID-19 and not attend school until they are symptom free.
If a student or staff member receives a positive result on with a RAT or PCR test they should:
- Record the positive result through the Services NSW website or app
- Notify the school of the positive results as soon as possible
Esteem Kids
Before school care is available in the Infants Hall for both Primary and Infants students. It operates from 7:00am to 8:30am, Monday through Friday during term and breakfast is provided.
After school care is available in the Infants Hall for Infants students only from 3:00pm to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. PLEASE NOTE this year that after school care is now operating from the Primary Art Room for primary students only from 3:00pm to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. Afternoon tea is provided.
