St Edward's Representative Shirts

Please keep a lookout for these in your cupboards, school bags, dirty clothes baskets, even under beds. We are still missing a considerable amount of shirts which will be required to be handed during next term.

GALA DAY

Last Friday saw 138 St Edward's students participate in the Diocesan Gala Day for soccer and netball. The students had a wonderful time, with both beginners and experienced players participating. A massive thank you to the volunteer parents who coached and the staff that took a team for the day. Congratulations to our St Ed's White netball team for winning their division and St Ed's Red soccer team for coming runners up after extra time and a penalty shoot out.

Netball Party

A Netball Party will be held the first Friday afternoon back in Term 4 (Friday 13th October) from 3:15-4:00pm. Please bring a plate of food or a packet of something to share with the other teams. If you are a primary netballer and would like to bring something cold/frozen for the party, Mrs Bridge will have room in the Primary Canteen (primary only).  ALL teams are welcome.

Netball Grand Finals

 St Edward's Lightning

St Edward's Lightning Netball Team was well named as they fired the ball around the court in the 11/12 A grade winter netball competition this year with speed and accuracy. The girls had an awesome season and were undefeated, going into the finals as minor premiers. The team played a great semi-final but had their first loss of the season against South Bowlo Minis 38/42. This loss made the team more determined to get into the grand final. The following Saturday, the Lightning played in the preliminary final and won against St Nich's Mischief Makers 49/14. This win allowed the team a rematch with South Bowlo Minis in the grand final. The grand final game could have gone either way, but Team Lightning came out victorious winning the game 48/42. South Bowlo Minis put up an almighty challenge. All the girls played like champions. It has been a pleasure for Dave and I (Ange) to coach this amazing team. The girls have given their all for the entire season. Thanks to the support of the St Edward's Netball Club and to the Lightning team.

St Edward's Goats

St Ed's Goats were the real Cinderella story this year with very few games being won last year to being in the grand final this year! A huge improvement made by all players. A nail biting grand final saw them just pipped at the post to be runners up in the 11/12 C grade division.
