Student Learning Progress Meetings Wrap Up

As we come to the end of another cycle of extremely successful and informative Student Learning Progress Meetings, the school would like to thank all students, parents, families and teachers for their time and engagement once again. These meetings are very intentionally learning-focused and data-informed, which allows the conversation to discuss the next learning goals for our students. By identifying what the 'next small step' in learning might be, parents and teachers can continue to work collaboratively in supporting students to continue their progress and growth in learning.

Below is a snapshot from the parent feedback following the learning meetings. As can be clearly seen, having face to face conversations where teachers can share learning goals and quality feedback with parents regarding students progress and growth was appreciated and valued by our parent community.

Year 3 Geography Expo

The students in Year 3 have been very engaged in a research and presentation project based on their Geography unit from this term. After selecting a neighbouring country to Australia, students collated their research focusing on the land, people, climate, culture as well as any other interesting information. They then created highly engaging infographic posters that displayed all of the information.

Today saw all of Year 3 gather together in the hall where they presented their posters and gave some peer feedback to one another to recognise everyone's hard work. Congratulations to all of Year 3, the quality of the infographics was very impressive!

Bush Poetry in Stage 3

This week, our Stage 3 students were able to participate in Mr Mike Cashman's Bush Poetry Club. Through his reciting of iconic Australian poems, students gained a better understanding of the rich history and literature of our country. Highlights from this week included The Man from Snowy River, Mulga Bill's Bicycle and How McDougall Topped The Score. Thanks again to Mr Cashman for sharing his expertise.
