Year 6 DanceSport Gala
Last night, a number of our Year 6 students participated in the DanceSport Gala with Year 5/6 students from Mentone Primary School. Each individual class presented three dances: cha-cha, waltz and swing. The audience were enthralled and captivated by the high levels of enthusiasm and energy that was evident within each and every dance.
Leading up to this event, our students participated in the 10-week 'My Best Self' program which provided them with the essential experience of developing a strong foundation of well-being and emotional health, positive social connection using verbal and non-verbal communication, and appraising feelings related to facing challenges, change, and the perspectives of others.
We could not be prouder of their efforts last night, in particular the positive social/emotional growth that was so very evident. The level of teamwork and support they demonstrated towards each other was exceptional. Below are the final scores with 6B coming 2nd by just 1 point!
