Connection Day

The Amazing Race
The Amazing Race was a fun and exciting challenge with lots of problems to solve at different stations. Each station made us think carefully and work together as a team. My favourite station was the puzzle piece challenge, where we had to complete a jigsaw puzzle in 10 minutes. It was challenging but enjoyable, and I felt proud when we finished it. Cheyenne 7D
Birranga Talent Show
The second part of our connection day was the talent show! Numerous students and teachers including me participated. We showed off some of our awesome talents such as singing, playing instruments and cultural dancing! As a performer I felt very proud at myself for giving it a shot, and going up to perform in front of my peers who were very supportive and encouraging, as they also joined in with clapping and cheering on. Some of our teachers also performed in their original band “Believe to Become’’, Overall, it was a super fun experience for our audience and the performers! Viktoria Verkerk 7F
Tabloid Sports
On the Wednesday afternoon all of the year 7s all gathered in the library ready to disburse into the fun and entertaining activities ahead on the oval. We had a verity of different activities including scarecrow tag, bean bag toss, soccer penalty shootout and more. On the basketball courts we had some free throw. After all the chaos of competitiveness we all played tug of war in our PEARL groups/houses. It was very intense but fun just to be with our friends cheering on others and being able to have that time to grow closer as friends, best friends and classmates. I loved doing the soccer penalty shootout with Mr. Marinelli as the goalkeeper. Overall, everyone had an amazing day and got to build stronger friendships with others from different classes.
