Share Our Success & Open Night 

On Thursday April 30th we had two main events that celebrated our connection to the community. Our Share Our Success event, celebrated what our Year 7 students have achieved in their very first year at Birranga College.

We have always said that Birranga is a place where every student is supported to Believe in themselves — to see themselves as capable, growing learners with something worthwhile to offer. Share Our Success gave students an opportunity to present, perform, demonstrate and reflect on their learning in front of their former primary school teachers and principals. They took great pride in showing them around the school where they play and learn. 

Our College Open Night marked the moment where we opened our doors to prospective families, and a few current ones as well, and welcomed them into the story of Birranga College.

This event embodies our commitment to Belonging — not just for the students already with us, but for those who have not yet walked through our doors. Families attending Open Night saw our spaces, met our staff, heard from our students and got a genuine sense of what it means to be part of this community. The warmth and authenticity of what they experienced said more than any brochure ever could.

I want to thank the staff who went above and beyond to make Open Night a welcoming and impressive experience. And I want to thank our current families for your ongoing advocacy — every time you speak positively about Birranga to your neighbours, your colleagues and your friends, you are contributing to the community we are building together.
