Child Safety
Our highest priority
11 Months, 11 Standards Campaign
Our school continues to support the Victorian child safety initiative, “11 Months, 11 Standards,” which focuses on one Victorian Child Safe Standard each month. So far this year, we have explored Child Safe Standards 1–4, helping strengthen our shared understanding of child safety and wellbeing across our school community.
Over the next few months, we will focus on Child Safe Standards 5–7 and what they mean for our students, families and staff.
Child Safe Standard 4 highlights the importance of informing and involving families and communities in promoting child safety and wellbeing. Strong partnerships between schools and families help children feel safe, heard and supported.
One way we support this is through the MACS Care parent/carer newsletter template, which provides families with practical information, resources and guidance to help promote child safety conversations at home and within our school community.
Child Safe Standard 5 reinforces the importance of equity, inclusion and respect for diverse needs in both policy and practice. Every child has the right to feel safe, valued and supported, regardless of their background, abilities, culture, identity or circumstances.
This standard reminds us that creating a safe environment means ensuring all children have equal access to support, learning opportunities and protection.
Child Safe Standard 6 focuses on ensuring that all people working in and for our schools are suitable, properly supported and committed to upholding child safety and wellbeing in everyday practice.
This includes ongoing training, clear expectations and a shared responsibility to create a culture where child safety is everyone’s priority.
Throughout this campaign, we have been sharing fact sheets and resources through our fortnightly bulletin to help families stay informed and engaged.
Child safety is strengthened when everyone works together. If something does not seem right, or if you have concerns about a child’s safety or wellbeing, it is important to speak up. Reporting concerns helps ensure children remain safe, supported and protected.
By staying informed, involved and willing to act, we all play an important role in creating a child-safe school community.
Using our school crossing is the safest way to cross Corrigan Road.

Reminder: No school parking is permitted on the yellow-highlighted roads.
Please ensure you park in designated areas only. Thank you for your cooperation.

Driveway and Parking Reminders
Just a friendly reminder that Resurrection School and Parish has three driveways. For safety and traffic flow:
Using the incorrect driveway or carpark is creating a safety risk for our students and must not continue.
The safest place to park is in the designated area next to the oval off Loxwood Avenue.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school community safe.
