Foundation to Grade Two students are exploring The Very Hungry Caterpillar (Il Piccolo Bruco Maisazio) in Italian, building vocabulary through a familiar story. Lessons will focus on days of the week (giorni della settimana), numbers and food, with songs, games and retelling activities helping students confidently connect language, meaning and culture in a fun, engaging way across the early years.
The Grade 3 students will work through a unit of work called Giochiamo Insieme! - Let’s Play. This will focus on different types of games in Italian, following simple instructions in movement games and creating a game in Italian.
The senior students will work through a unit called Vacanza - Holiday. Students will learn about different holidays and how we travel using the Italian language. They will explore the weather and how to describe this in Italian. They will participate in role plays and compare Italian and Australian holiday traditions. They will also complete a project that describes thier ideal holiday using text in Italian.

Well done Zarielle for making your own gnocchi. It was yummy in her thermos for lunch the next day.

During Sport this fortnight we held our first Health lesson of 2026. The junior children enjoyed drawing self-portraits, while the seniors discussed popular sportspeople and the adversity and resilience they've displayed. The children enjoyed moving our lesson outdoors into the glorious sunshine where we discussed body parts and how they change as we grow.
We completed the lesson by identifying signs of a still heart versus one after physical exertion and the benefits of regular exercise. It was a magnificent day to enjoy this task!

While Mrs. Hill is happily away exploring the West Coast, Mrs Brennan has launched her temporary Art Teacher career!
Week 1 was all about creating abstract poppy designs with the opportunity to experiment with mixed mediums such as pastels, chalk or water colours. We commenced the class by discussing the significance of the poppy and how they were a stark display of life against the battle-torn fields of Gallipoli. As you can see from the photos, the students embraced this task enthusiastically and came up with some stunning designs to honour our fallen soldiers. Lest We Forget.

Students in 3-6 have been learning to represent data in tables using digital tools. They surveyed their classmates and created documents in Canva to show the information they collected – making it easy to read and interesting to look at!
