Message From Our Principal
Mrs Jackie Stockdale
Welcome back to Term 2. I hope the break provided an opportunity for rest, time with loved ones, and a chance to recharge for the term ahead.
As we begin this new term, our focus remains on fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive. Term 2 is always a busy and exciting time in the school calendar, with a range of academic programs, extracurricular activities, and community events planned. We encourage all students to get involved, challenge themselves, and make the most of the opportunities available.
Our teaching staff have been working diligently to prepare meaningful and enriching learning experiences. We continue to prioritise student wellbeing alongside academic growth, ensuring that every child feels supported, safe, and ready to learn.
Communication between school and home is vital. We encourage families to stay connected through our regular updates and to reach out to staff whenever needed. Working together strengthens our school community and supports the best outcomes for our students.
Thank you for your ongoing support. I look forward to a productive and rewarding Term 2 for all members of our school community.
Thank you to the parents and Advisory Council members who took the time to attend meetings with our School Improvement Tool (SIT) reviewers this week. Your insights, perspectives, and commitment to our school community are highly valued, and they play an important role in shaping our ongoing improvement efforts. We appreciate your willingness to engage in thoughtful discussion and contribute to the continued growth and success of our school.
Once we receive the written report from the School Improvement Tool (SIT) review, we will share a summary of the feedback with our families. This will provide an opportunity for our community to understand the key findings, celebrate areas of strength, and learn about the next steps in our improvement journey. We value transparency and look forward to keeping you informed as we continue working together to support the best outcomes for all students.
Next week, we look forward to celebrating Catholic Education Week, a special time to recognise and give thanks for the rich tradition and values of Catholic education. Throughout the week, students will participate in a range of activities that highlight our shared faith, learning, and community spirit. It is an opportunity to celebrate the unique identity of our school, reflect on the importance of faith in our daily lives, and acknowledge the contributions of staff, students, and families in making our school a vibrant and supportive community.

Later in the week, we look forward to celebrating the wonderful women in our lives. On Thursday, students will have the opportunity to visit a special stall to purchase a small gift as a token of appreciation. On Friday morning, we warmly invite our community to join us for a breakfast celebration, providing a chance to come together and acknowledge the important role that mothers, grandmothers, carers, and significant women play in the lives of our students and our school community.

During the week, our Grade 6 students had the opportunity to visit a number of prospective secondary schools as they hosted their open days. These visits are an important part of the transition process, helping students and families make informed decisions about the next stage of their education. We look forward to welcoming families to our own Open Day on 18th May, where we will showcase our school and provide an opportunity to experience all that our community has to offer.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Easter Raffle by purchasing and selling tickets. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we are delighted to share that we raised a total of $2,031. Your support is greatly appreciated and contributes to the ongoing opportunities we are able to provide for our students.
The raffle winners are:

We were incredibly proud of our students who represented our school so respectfully at the Tongala Dawn Service this morning. It was wonderful to see so many of our families there supporting this important community event, thank you to everyone who attended.
A special acknowledgement to Lil, Charlotte and Jim for their thoughtful and moving readings, and to Sophie and Phoebe for laying the wreath with such care and respect.
Lest we forget.

In 2026, we will continue to place a strong focus on student attendance, as regular and punctual school attendance is vital for learning, wellbeing, and long-term success. Being at school every day helps students build strong routines, maintain friendships, and fully engage with their learning. We appreciate the ongoing support of families in prioritising attendance and working in partnership with the school to ensure every child has the best possible opportunity to thrive.
