World's Greatest Shave
Class of 2026
On behalf of the Class of 2026, please find the link below to donate to our Year 12 team for the upcoming World's Greatest Shave in Week 8 of this Term. Our team has a number of Year 12 students (currently at 65 students) shaving their head to raise funds and awareness for the Leukaemia Foundation.
Blood cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian children, and the team is looking to do their bit in raising funds and awareness for the cause. Every donation big or small makes a massive difference and we would very much appreciate anything you may be able to contribute.

Grandparents Mass & Morning Tea
On Tuesday 12 May and Thursday 14 May, Trinity College was delighted to host two special Grandparents Masses and Morning Teas, warmly welcoming grandparents into the life of the College.
Across both mornings, the events provided a beautiful opportunity for our boys to spend meaningful time with their loved ones. The celebrations reflected the strong sense of community at Trinity, as students proudly shared their College environment with grandparents who play such a significant role in their lives.
The Masses were reverent and uplifting occasions, followed by relaxed and joyful morning teas where conversations flowed and generations connected. It was heartwarming to see the boys guiding their grandparents around the College, introducing them to teachers and friends, and sharing stories of their learning and experiences. These moments highlighted not only the pride our students have in Trinity College, but also the deep appreciation they hold for their families.
We extend our sincere thanks to Fra Oscar for leading both Masses with such warmth and care, and to our PCG teachers for supporting the boys throughout the events. A very special thank you goes to Miss Melanie Dunn and the TC Auxiliary, whose tireless efforts in organising and hosting the morning teas ensured that both occasions ran so smoothly and successfully. We are also grateful to all staff who contributed to making these events so memorable.
The Grandparents Masses and Morning Teas were truly a celebration of faith, family, and community, values at the heart of Trinity College.

WADL Debating News
Make-Up Round Win
On Wednesday evening, during the WADL Make Up Round #1, the Trinity College Junior Team 2, comprising of Matteo Redolatti (10.3), Dexter Pereira (10.5) and newcomer Jack Katich (10.5), took on opponents from Wesley College to debate the topic: This house prefers human-like AI to non-human like AI.
This was a great topic given the current debate surrounding increasingly human-like artificial intelligence, particularly in relation to questions of approachability and the extent to which society may become dependent on systems designed to replicate human interaction. Trinity debated in the Affirmative, with Wesley taking the Negative, and both teams engaged thoughtfully with the key tensions inherent in the topic.
Wesley’s case centred on the risks of overreliance and the potential consequences of blurring the line between human and machine. While these concerns were credible and at times well-articulated, Trinity’s speakers were able to present a more cohesive and persuasive case for why human-like AI should ultimately be preferred. In particular, they demonstrated stronger control over the framing of the debate, positioning human-likeness not as a liability, but as a practical advantage that enhances accessibility and usability.
The Trinity boys proved more effective in convincing the adjudicator of their points while responding capably to their opponents and were awarded the win on the night. A well-deserved result for the Year 10 Junior Team.
