Whole school concert
Congratulations to all the students for a wonderful school concert last Friday. It was clear to see that the students had fun and enjoyed working together to create these performances. I loved being a part of it with the staff and doing the Nutbush.
Thank you very much to Mr Camilleri for all his work and organisation. It is a huge effort to organise a performance with so many people and costumes. Thank you also to all the staff and other helpers who assisted including Mr Camilleri’s mum.
We have some photos of the school concert for you to enjoy but if you have any video that you could email to the school address, Mr. Camilleri would love to see it.
Congratulations also to our raffle prize winners. We hope you enjoy your prizes.
At the end of the concert Mr. Dowie from Victoria University Secondary College presented 9 of our students with Academic, Leadership or Sports scholarships. I am so proud to see so many of our students recognised for their outstanding effort.
Year 6 Graduation
Congratulations to the Year 6 students and staff for a wonderful graduation last night. It is such a joyous occasion recognising the growth of our students and seeing the fine young people they are becoming. Last night was truly a special evening shared with families. Thank you for attending and for your kind words of appreciation for all our school does to support all students and their families. It is much appreciated.
Furniture
There is still some old furniture out in the yard that we are happy for families to take before the end of the year. Just let us know at the office.
Disabled Parking
Reminder: as you follow other road rules please adhere to the rule of not parking in the disabled spaces around the school. We do have a number of families needing these spaces each day, so please do not park in the areas marked on the road.
Environment area
After more than 3 long years of planning, our environment area is finally complete. The fences were taken down on Tuesday and the children loved exploring the new area.
It will be even more wonderful when all the plants grow and add to the atmosphere. At the start of next year we will have an official opening and invite families for a tour.
End of year
The ‘Step up’ morning where students and teachers meet in their new groups went really well today. As I walked around and spoke to teachers and students they were getting to know each other and expressed excitement and enthusiasm for the new year.
Last Day of School – Early Pick up 1:30pm
Reminder: We finish early so please collect your children on time or make arrangements with Camp Australia for afterschool care.
Thank you
Over the holidays we will have some work done and the gardeners will be here regularly to water the new garden areas, but if you see anything out of the ordinary, do not hesitate to call 000 to report your concerns.
Lastly, I would like to thank all our families for their support throughout the 2024 school year. It takes all of us working together to ensure that the students do well. We couldn’t do it without you!
Wishing all our beautiful families all the best for the festive season and a wonderful new year. Farewell and good luck to those who are moving. Stay safe and we will see you next year.
Kind regards,
Senka King
