A Return to the Middle Ages

Recently in Humanities, Year 8 students completed an assignment on life in the Middle Ages.

Rylee Jones constructed a gibbet and hanging cage, as part of his work on crime and punishment. Hank Graham and Bailey McPhan created a hanging cage and also a rack, which was a form of medieval torture. Macey Howlett and Zaylee Peatt used a medieval recipe to bake an apple and lemon curd pie. Tyla Boef drew and painted an illuminated illustration of an angel as part of her work on medieval art. Dillan Wade constructed a long bow, as part of his studies on weapons. Courtney Armeni, Izzy Cahill and Chloe Geddes reconstructed a medieval kitchen, including the various utensils they used, and representations of the types of foods people of the Middle Ages ate.
