Merry Christmas

We are almost at the end of our 2024 school year and Christmas is just around the corner! I am very pleased with the way in which we have successfully worked our way through this year. We had a real sense of ‘moving forward’ this year at Beaufort Secondary College, after the challenges that were presented throughout the years impacted by COVID. I believe you only have to walk around our school on any given day to feel the calm and settled environment we have, in which our staff and students learn. I have also seen some outstanding academic growth in our students, as a result of their hard work and effort, and, of course, the hard work and effort put in by our staff to support them in their learning. When I do my weekly reflection on what we have achieved in our school and then subsequently thank people for their contributions, it never ceases to amaze me just how much effort is put into providing our students with so many opportunities. I am really pleased to see our students take on these opportunities and I am sure they appreciate the work that goes into making it all happen.

As this is the last newsletter for the year, I would like to thank our staff for their hard work this year and the parents and community for their support throughout the year. I would also like to thank our students for their contribution to our school community – they are the reason we are here! I also want to acknowledge and thank our School Council members for their involvement in the governance of our school. On behalf of the staff, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and an enjoyable, safe and Happy New Year and holiday period.
