School Saving Bonus - School Activities Expenditure Selection

We have now allocated all SSB - School Activities credits to Incursions/Excursions for those that completed the survey below. Your Compass account will now reflect that payment. Continue reading if you are yet to complete the steps listed.

All eligible families will have received a School Saving Bonus (SSB) email from the Department of Education in November last year, which contains your unique bonus code.

To be eligible for the School Saving Bonus students must be fully enrolled in a Victorian government school by 31st January 2025.

You may choose to spend your $400 SSB funding on uniforms or school activities. You must login to the SSB Portal to select how you would like to spend these funds. If you wish to spend it on uniforms, you may shop online or instore with our uniform supplier Bob Stewart.

If you wish to spend SSB funding on School Activities, such as excursions or camps, then you will need to do the following:

  1. Logon to the SSB Portal and assign some or all your $400 SSB funding to School Activities
  2. Complete the following survey to notify the school which activities to apply your funding to: School Activities Expenditure Selection

Please note that SSB funding cannot be spent on Parent Contributions such as curriculum consumables etc. It can only be spent on activities that are considered extra-curricular such as excursions and camps.

If any amount is unspent as at 1 July 2025, it will automatically become a school activities credit for future use.

If your school saving bonus has not yet been applied to your School Contributions on Compass. This will occur over the coming month as we receive these funds from the government.
