Bring It On The Musical (High School Version)
Musical Solo Auditions Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 18th ,19th & 20th February 2025 (Week 4)
It is a requirement for this year’s musical that everyone attends the Musical Information Session in The Minnamurra Hall on 13/02/25
from 3-4:30pm to audition. (Week 3)
Solo audition timeslots will be allocated at the information session in Week 3.
The solo auditions will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Week 4 in The Hall.
Auditioning for a lead role:
If you are auditioning for a lead role, you will need to do a solo audition, which will comprise of:
Singing - choose a song in the style of ‘Bring It On’ that suits the character you are auditioning for and demonstrates your range. DO NOT pick a song from ‘Bring It On’. Present with confidence. Bring your backing track as an audio file (wav, mp3 etc) to your audition, or you can email it to Micaela in advance: micaela.hull@stphilips.nt.edu.au
- Reading – a scene for the character you are going for. You will read opposite one of the members of the audition panel. Printouts of the scenes will be available at the information session or from Micaela in the Performing Arts office (next to Room 55)
Auditioning for the ensemble:
(Ensemble means not a main role)
If you are not auditioning for a lead role (i.e. you would like to audition to be a part of the ensemble), your audition will happen at the information session as part of the group. In this audition you will:
Sing - We will be learning a short section of “What I was Born to Do” from the show at the information session. Backing track provided.
- Dance - we will be learning the choreography at the information session in Week 3.
