Year 9: The Rite Journey

TRJ Homecoming

We celebrated the end of the Year 9 The Rite Journey program with a community homecoming celebration. Teachers, partners, mentors and students spent an evening together sharing our highlights with student speeches and a community BBQ. 

We finished off dancing together with live music from The Bottom Pub Ceilidh Band. 

This was a heart-filling way to end the program in 2024.

TRJ Service Challenge

An important part of our Year 9 TRJ program is to foster the idea of seeing others with dignity, respect and compassion. 

Our Service Challenge Day is practical way to experience helping and serving others in our community. 

We started the day with a reminder from Pastor Jono O'Neil about the impact that we can make in the lives of others. We then split into groups, visiting Waverly Primary School, The City Mission, and the Windsor Community Garden, in addition to a car wash for staff here at school. 

This day was a powerful reminder of how we can represent Christ by giving our time and energy to others.
