Primary Celebration & Year 6 Graduation
Let's Celebrate!
The whole of Primary School joined for their Celebration and Year 6 Graduation at the Tailrace Centre on Monday, followed by an afternoon of fun, games and food at Tailrace Park.
It was a joy to reflect on how much we have grown: academically, spiritually and in terms of our relationships and character. Head of Primary School Mr van Ryn gave an encouragement based on 1 Corinthians 12, and using a multi-tool as a visual representation of the one-item, many-parts picture.
There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ. We were all baptised by one Holy Spirit. And so we are formed into one body.
– 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
"A multi-tool is one item with many moving parts, each part with a very different purpose: cutting, tweezing, sawing, and so on. We all have different strengths and have a unique role to play, both in the Launceston Christian School community, and in God's family," he said.
A Ballad of Farewell
Mr Ballard wrote a special song that recognised the growth, from K-6, of the cohort.
He performed the song with Elodie Barnes and Zimri Bosker.

Let's Party!
From the celebration assembly, students and teachers walked to Tailrace Park where an afternoon of fabulously fun activities awaited. Children rotated through three stations:
- Aussie Christmas (with BBQ and cricket)
- Circus Zone (with the Circus School, bubble blowing, circus games and lunchbox food)
- Old Fashioned Fun Zone (with giant lolly platters, drinks, sack races, skittles and more)
It was a new and joyous way to collectively celebrate the Primary School year, with special mention to Miss Marshall, Miss van Zetten and the team who pulled it all together.
