From the Principal

We would like to acknowledge the original custodians of this land

the culture and hopes of Indigenous Australia.

Every child matters.  Every moment counts!

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to the 2025 school year!  It was wonderful to see the excited faces of students and parents returning to school during last week.   I've walked around the school and into the classrooms and it appears that everyone has settled in and the children are all on task with their work.  It was so good to see everyone happy to be here.  Thank you to the staff that made the classrooms look welcoming and ready for great teaching and learning.

Congratulations to the Prep students who are settling into their classroom routines and expectations with ease and comfort. Thank you to Mrs Sarah O'Hara, Mrs Marie Georgiadis and Mrs Jo Kirkham, who ensured that they were all engaged and happy on their first days with us.

School Re-Branding

The school has a new school logo and slogan which reflects the current times at our school.  You will  see these in many places especially our school website.  We are also seeking parents to give a short statement about why they have chosen our school, which will be included.  Please send these testimonials to us when you can.

School Promotion

It is time to promote our school for enrolments in 2026. We are looking at distributing cards around the local neighbourhood, kindergartens and child care facilities. If you can lend a hand by passing the cards around please contact the office.  The areas of Ormond, Glen Huntly, Carnegie and Caulfield South fall within our boundaries.

The School Tours are as follows but we also promote that every day is an open day and we are always ready to show the wonderful program that we have at school:

  • Wednesday 26 February 9.00am - 11.00am
  • Tuesday 4 March 9.00am - 11.00am
  • Monday 17 March 9.00am - 11.00am

Road Safety

As is always the case with the return to school, the roads, parking and school crossings surrounding our school are very busy.

Glen Eira Council has created a short, animated video that explains parking signs, how the school crossing operates and aims to promote safety surrounding our schools.  It encourages students to walk or ride to school too, even if only from a few blocks away, to help ease traffic congestion, improve healthy activity and to help the environment.

Lord, please bless all our staff, students and families as we make our way back to our classrooms for another year. Help us to feel excitement and joy in the promise of a new start. Give us what we need to use our imagination and creativity to make wonders out of what we do. Give us wisdom throughout the year. Help us to have just the right words of encouragement for each other.
