🌟 New Arrival Withdrawal Group – Year 5

This term, our Year 5 new arrival students have been working closely with the EAL/D teacher in a small group setting to strengthen their English language skills. The group consists of four students who have joined our school community within the past 12 months after arriving in Australia.

Throughout Term 4, the students have taken part in a wide range of lessons designed to build confidence in speaking and expand their vocabulary. The sessions provide a supportive and welcoming environment where students can practice communicating and interacting with others, helping them feel comfortable expressing themselves in English.

✨ Activities have included:

· Fun social skills games

· Asking and answering questions

· Describing and explaining illustrations

· Completing reading comprehension quizzes

We are proud of the progress these students have made and look forward to seeing their continued growth as they develop their English language skills.
