Celebration Day - Classroom Café!

Last Friday we enjoyed a wonderful SWPBS Celebration Day with our Classroom Café. Students came together with snacks to share, games to play and plenty of smiles, celebrating their outstanding efforts across the year. It was fantastic to recognise their achievement in once again earning 4,000 positive acknowledgements! This is an incredible effort!

In total, our students have now earned over 16,000 Egg Acknowledgements this year, reflecting the consistently positive choices they make every day to support our strong learning and wellbeing culture. We are so proud of the way our students continue to demonstrate our school values!

End of Year Celebrations and Continued Learning

As we enter the second-last week of the school year, our community is starting to feel the excitement that comes with celebrating a year of growth and achievement. While there are many special events ahead, our focus on teaching and learning remains strong right through to the end of term. Classrooms continue to be busy, positive and purposeful as students consolidate skills, complete projects and take part in meaningful end-of-year learning experiences.

There are several important events coming up over the next two weeks:

  • Monday 8 December – School Council End of Year Meeting and Dinner

This is an opportunity to acknowledge and thank our School Council members for their commitment and leadership throughout the year.

  • Tuesday 9 December, 9.45am–11am – Whole School Transition Session

Students will spend time with their 2026 classmates and meet their 2026 teacher as part of our school-wide transition experience. This supports students to feel confident and positive about moving into the next grade. Families can help by talking with children about the new opportunities ahead and reassuring them about the exciting changes to come.

  • Thursday 11 December 4.30pm- – Carols Night

We look forward to coming together as a community for an evening of music, student performances and festive spirit. Everyone is warmly invited to attend.

  • Thursday 18 December – Student Reports Sent Home

Student reports will be sent home to celebrate a year of learning and achievement. We encourage families to read these with your children and recognise the effort and progress made throughout the year.

  • Monday 8 December - Wednesday 17th December - Swimming Program

Our swimming program occurs during the final weeks of term. Swimming is a mandatory part of the primary curriculum and an important government focus to ensure all students develop essential water safety skills. Thank you for supporting student participation in this valuable program.

  • Wednesday 17 December – Year 6 Graduation

Graduation is a special milestone for our Year 6 students as they complete their primary school journey. We are very proud of all they have achieved and look forward to celebrating this important moment with them.

  • Friday 19 December, 12pm – Final Assembly

Our final assembly will bring the school together to acknowledge student achievements and celebrate the year.

  • Friday 19 December, 1.30pm – Early Dismissal

Students will be dismissed early on the final day of term.

As we move through these last weeks, I thank our students, staff and families for continuing to support both strong learning and our many celebrations. This shared commitment is what makes our school such a positive and connected community.
