Foundation
This term in Religious Education, the Foundation students have been exploring the unit “Celebrating Jesus’ Birth.” They created a lovely Jesse Tree, decorating it with pictures of their families. They took part in a reflective Godly Play session about the Christmas story. Afterwards the students produced beautiful artworks inspired by what they heard. We are very proud of their thoughtful and creative work as we prepare for Christmas.
Foundation Students Celebrate Italian Day! 🇮🇹
Our Foundation students had a wonderful time celebrating Italian Day in Week 7. The classroom transformed into a little slice of Italy, filled with colour, music and plenty of excitement. One of the highlights was the Trevi Fountain, where students happily tossed in their coins and made special wishes - just like visitors do in Rome. It was a joyful day full of laughter, learning and memories we’re sure they will treasure.
Grazie to everyone who helped make the day so magical! 🇮🇹✨
Years 1 and 2
The Years 1 and 2 students have been working hard in preparation for the upcoming F–4 Christmas Carols performance. They’ve been perfecting their dance moves and learning the lyrics to their songs, ready to shine on the night. Students are very excited to share the joy, meaning and spirit of Christmas with their families on Thursday 4th December from 6:00-7:30pm.
We also look forward to the F-4 End of Year Assembly on Wednesday 3rd December at 9.10am, where students will share and celebrate their Term 4 learning. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to see the growth, effort and achievements of our learners as they present highlights from their work this term.
Orientation Day on Tuesday 9th December is fast approaching. Students will spend the morning with their 2025 teacher before being supported to transition to their 2026 class. They will spend time in their new learning environment with their classmates, getting to know their new teacher and participate in a range of activities.
Students also impressed us with their fantastic costumes on Italian Day and many enjoyed tossing their gold coin donations into our very own Trevi Fountain.
Our KABOOM Sports Day was a vibrant, high-energy morning where students took part in a variety of engaging games alongside neighbouring schools. They demonstrated persistence and determination as they learned new skills and showed wonderful teamwork throughout the activities.
As we approach the end of the year, students have been showcasing their developing knowledge and skills across all areas of their learning. They have particularly enjoyed writing imaginative texts. Their creative use of characters, settings, ideas, new vocabulary, adjectives and punctuation has made for some impressive and entertaining reading. Well done, Years 1 and 2 on the fantastic growth in your writing skills!
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful families for your ongoing support. It has been a tremendous year of learning and growth and we are grateful for the partnership we share. We look forward to seeing you at the Christmas Carols and wish everyone a joyful, safe, holiday season. We can’t wait to welcome you back in 2026.
Years 3 and 4
Year 3 students are finishing their text titled, "The One and Only Ivan" by Katherine Applegate. They have been writing a persuasive letter asking the minister for environment to ban animals in captivity. Acting out a scene from the novel, students designed and displayed protest signs calling for the freedom of the characters 'Ivan' the gorilla and 'Ruby' the elephant, who have been living inside a mall.
Our Year 4 students have been busy designing and constructing their own 3D objects using LEGO as a hands-on way to conclude our unit on 3D shapes. This engaging and creative activity allowed students to apply their knowledge in a fun and meaningful way. We are excited to share some of their amazing creations with you.
