Annual Service Planning Retreat

Friday 28 November

On Friday 28 November, our annual Service Planning Retreat will take place at the Friends’ Boatsheds on Lallaby Road, Lutana. This special day brings together student leaders from Years 4–12 to reflect, plan and shape the future of Service at Friends’.

Service lies at the heart of our School’s Purpose and Concerns, reminding us of our responsibility to act with integrity, compassion and courage in the wider community. The Retreat provides students with the opportunity to share their voice, collaborate with peers, and engage meaningfully with our community partners as we consider ways to strengthen Service Learning and action across the School.

This is an important part of how we ensure that Service at Friends’ continues to be authentic, purposeful and deeply connected to the needs of both our School and the wider world.

Any queries, please contact Karina Churchill.

Paperly Update (Operoo Replacement System)

In our last update we shared that The Friends’ School will soon be introducing Paperly, a new online system for managing student medical, health, and excursion information. Paperly will replace Operoo as our platform for digital forms, permissions, and health records.

As the first step in the implementation, we will be setting up a single account for you, managed by Friends’, that will be used this year to login to SEQTA, and then Paperly in the new year.

On Thursday 27 November parents/guardians should receive an email with full details of the new accounts.

On Tuesday 2 December parents/guardians can expect an invitation email to set up the new account, and will need to use the new account credentials to login to SEQTA from that date.

2027 Kindergarten Enrolment Reminder

We wish to remind current families that 2027 Kindergarten enrolment applications are now open. If you are planning to enrol a younger sibling and have not yet applied, please submit an application at your earliest convenience. Early applications help us ensure we can accommodate siblings prior to finalising our enrolment intake.

2026 Instrument/Vocal Tuition Enrolment

Private instrument and vocal tuition will be available at The Friends’ School again in 2026 for students from Years 3-12. A link to allow you to enrol your children in this program will be available in the first week of December.
