Learning an Instrument in 2026 – Don’t Miss Out!

While students can register to learn an instrument at any time throughout the year, teacher availability can determine when a student can commence.

Families are encouraged to register students for 2026 before the end of the year.

Students can have lessons on numerous instruments. There is also a special offering for students in Year 7 who want to continue/start to learn a band instrument, and for students in Prep and Year 1 who are beginning a string instrument.

Music Camp 2026 – Register by Wednesday 3rd December 2026.

Music Camp is a highlight for many of the College musicians. These are reflections from this year’s camp:

The 2025 Overnewton Music Camp was definitely an experience I’ll never forget. From rehearsing in our ensembles, to making new friends, and participating in the talent show, I think it’s safe to say that everyone else enjoyed camp as much as I did… I can’t wait for Music Camp next year!

- Talia, Year 8 Student

Music camp might be the most fun thing I have done so far; I found a lot of people that connect with me. I have had a lot of laughs within these 3 days and will gladly be back next year for music camp…

- Andrea, Year 7 Student

There’s a special kind of magic in growing and learning alongside those who share your passions, weaving together endless days of laughter, late-night talks, and unbreakable bonds with fellow musicians - students and staff alike. Through every challenge faced and every milestone celebrated in rehearsals and performances, our friendships deepen, strengthened by shared dreams and unwavering support. Together, through melodies and memories, we create something timeless, made even more powerful by the intensity and camaraderie of our music camp.

- Carly, Year 12 Student
