Week 8, Term 4
đSwimming This Week
A reminder that swimming lessons commence this week for our Prep, Grade 3 and Grade 4 students at Aquahub Croydon. We are looking forward to a fantastic week of building water safety skills, confidence, and enjoyment in the pool.
Â
đ Prep
Next week in PE, our Prep students will continue developing their soccer kicking skills. They will practise placing their non-kicking foot correctly, striking the ball with the instep, and following through with balance. Through fun games and simple challenges, students will keep building confidence, coordination, and ball control.
Â
âŸÂ Grades 1 & 2
Grades 1 and 2 will continue working on striking using a rounders bat. Students will focus on holding the bat with control, keeping their eyes on the ball, and developing consistent, well-timed contact. Partner and small-group activities will help strengthen teamwork, cooperation, and skill progression.
Â
đ Grades 3 & 4
Grades 3 and 4 will be continuing their hockey unit, focusing on controlling the ball while dribbling and passing accurately to teammates. Students will rotate through skill stations designed to build confidence with the stick and ball before applying their learning in small-sided games that encourage safe play, awareness, and teamwork.
Â
đ Grades 5 & 6
Next week in PE, Grades 5 and 6 will further develop their hockey skills, working on accurate hitting, strong ball control, and basic attacking and defensive strategies. Students will participate in small-sided games that promote tactical thinking, communication, and fair competition as they consolidate their skills.
Â
All Year Levels
With the Christmas Carols on next week, all classes will be having their final rehearsals for their year level Christmas songs, making sure everyone feels confident in their singing and actions. Any spare time will be spent on unfinished tasks from the previous few weeks.
Â
Further information on the event, including costume ideas, can be found on the important dates page.
Â

Â
Grade 5

Â
