Sport

It’s been a very exciting start to the year in Sport! Here are some of the highlights so far,

Run Club

What a fantastic start it has been to our run club! We've had over 400 students participating each Tuesday and Thursday, spanning from Foundation to Level 6. It's been fantastic to see so many people getting active, social and enjoying building their long-distance running skills, all in preparation for our whole school Cross Country event in early Term 2. Thanks to our wonderful parent community for supporting in recording laps each morning.

PE Sessions

During our sport sessions this fortnight, we have been working on running and jumping-based skills with our Prep-2 students, while our Level 3-6 students have been continuing to grow their skills in sprinting, high jump, and long jump ahead of our Athletics carnival in Term 2. During Level 5/6 sports, students have been rotating through different team sports, focusing on skills such as leadership, respect, and learning. Our Level 4 students have been learning all about T-ball during their Friday sports.

District Swimming

On Wednesday, February 21st, the Rangeview team, consisting of 26 Level 3-6 students, attended the Nunawading District swimming carnival. Our students showcased fantastic respect, impressive swimming abilities, and lots of passion throughout the day. A big thank you to our wonderful parent community for their support. We wish the 9 students advancing to the Division finals in March the best of luck!

Hockey Clinics

Last Wednesday, several of our Level 3 and 4 classes had the wonderful opportunity to participate in Hockey clinics generously provided by Hockey Victoria. The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they delved into the intricate world of hockey, honing their skills and embracing the excitement of the sport.

Team Victoria

Congratulations to the following students who have been selected to try out for Team Victoria in the coming weeks! These students will have their skills tested against the best primary students in Victoria in their chosen sports. Good luck!!
