Parents' and Friends'
The Parents' and Friends' Association welcome all students and parents back to an exciting and jam-packed Term 1! We hope everyone had a wonderful summer and a chance to rest and spend time together as families. We extend a huge welcome to all of our new families joining us this year, we hope you have felt welcome, and your children have settled in well.
We also welcome the many new staff members who join us this year, we truly value the efforts that our teaching staff make with our children and we welcome you to our school community.
House Swimming - seeking helpers for the P&F BBQ
The Parents' and Friends' Association will be holding BBQs at both the Senior School and Junior School Swimming Carnivals.
Senior School is Tuesday 13 February
Junior School is Friday 16 February
We would love some helpers for the day to flip a sausage or serve our hungry kids.
Hour shifts:
- 10-11 - Cook and set-up
- 11-12 - Cook and Serve
- 12-1 - Serve
- 1-2 - Serve
It’s a great way to meet new families and get to know our students. If you would like to help out, please message Kate Pye on 0408 391 172 with your preferred time slot and include Senior or Junior School.
Finally, all parents/guardians attending school events with students onside need to complete an online model of Child Safety Training. If you are new to College or didn't get around to completing it last year, please use this link: https://tha.ac/childsafeform

P&F meeting
Our P&F meeting will be held next Tuesday evening (13th February) from 6pm. All are welcome and if you are not able to make it in person, please let us know at paf@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au and we can send you a link to join us via zoom. We don’t mind people joining in just to listen (cameras off is okay!) and find out what we are up to this year.
We have had an enormous year of fundraising in 2023 which also provided many opportunities to come together as a parent body. This fundraising is going towards a very important outdoor space at the Middle Years campus and we are getting closer to displaying these plans soon!
Welcome Drinks - tomorrow night
This Friday we welcome all of the parents to join us for welcome drinks on the Tower lawn at the Senior Campus to reconnect after a long summer break and to welcome any new parents to our school. it is always a wonderful evening. Please join us between 6-8pm.
Towels
The Hamilton and Alexandra College logo towels are available to purchase from both the Senior and Junior Campus, at the second-hand uniform shop or online on the College website.
Now that the weather is finally warming up, a spare towel for the beach and the pool is always a winner. They are $40 each and go toward P&F fundraising.
Tuck shop
Sally and Liz in the Tuck shop provide a delicious menu each week of term. Volunteers are greatly appreciated on Mondays and Tuesdays if parents are able. An hour or two of your time is most appreciated by Sally and it is a lovely way to meet the children too!
Please call Fi at the Senior School Reception if you are free on a Monday or Tuesday to help out in Term 1.
