eduPay - Time-In-Lieu acquittal
A reminder that time-in-lieu balances from the previous year should be acquitted by the 29 February 2024 otherwise they will be automatically paid at 150% of the normal rate of pay for the employee.
There is the option for employees to defer time-in-lieu after discussion with the principal and agreement that the time-in-lieu is to be acquitted after 1 March 2024. In this case, it is incumbent upon the employee to action deferring time-in-lieu by completing these steps:
- Go to Employee homepage > My time > Time in lieu > Defer TIL payout.
- Click the box to confirm you have discussed with your principal taking your time in lieu balance after 1 March 2024, and they have agreed.
- Select submit and the usual notifications and approval process occurs.
Principals or their delegate/s should ensure that they have a conversation with teachers and education support class employees to confirm if time-in-lieu will be acquitted by 29 February, deferred or paid.
