Toys & Personal Items

Children’s toys and personal items, unless specifically asked for by a teacher, are to be kept at home. It is often difficult for children to care for these items properly at school and the chance of breaking or being lost is high. Unfortunately, incidents such as these take away from teaching and learning, and can be avoided by keeping belongings at home. 

The Department of Education and Training does not have insurance for personal property of staff, students and visitors. Therefore, Aberfeldie does not take responsibility for items of student personal property that are lost, stolen or damaged at school or during school activities. Damage to personal property brought to school is the responsibility of the owner of that property.
