Fun Fiesta Poster Competition

Announcement at Assembly this week! The posters have been of such high quality and almost 100 entries into the Competition. Finalists are currently displayed in the corridor outside the Year5-6 classrooms. It has been tough to make a decision as all of the posters have been very impressive.

A Fun Fiesta planning Meeting occurred today (5th September) 3-4pm. Our next meeting date will be early next term.

It’s time to prepare for the bi-annual 

Albany Rise Fun Fiesta!

This event will be held on Friday November 22nd from 4 - 7pm.

We will have stalls, rides, food and fun on the night.

We also have class stalls that need your support. To support these stalls you will be asked closer to the event to volunteer your time. For now we are collecting supplies and donations for these stalls. 

We are running a competition for the grades to see which class can provide the most number of items. If you are unable to provide the specific items for your class stall (a notice will be provided soon) then you might help with collecting the following items for the other school based stalls. 

• 2nd hand clothes (all sizes/genders)
• Chocolate blocks
• Coloured Hair spray
• Face paint
• Halloween Decorations
• 2nd hand books
• 2nd hand uniforms

The items are to be delivered to your child’s classroom for counting for the competition. Do not drop them at the office as they won’t be counted.

I look forward to seeing everyone on the night and announcing the winning class.

Spaces for market stalls for school families and businesses are now open for allocation. If you know of a business or family who would like to have a market stall on the day, please contact the office.
