We’ll begin with chance and probability, where students will engage in hands-on experiments to understand the likelihood of different outcomes and learn how to represent probabilities in various ways. Following this, we’ll dive into fractions and decimals, building on their skills in comparing, ordering, and performing operations with these numbers. Finally, we will focus on mastering the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) through real-world problem-solving activities, helping students strengthen their numeracy skills and apply them confidently.
Inquiry
In Inquiry this term, we will be focusing on the fascinating world of living things and their environments. Students will explore the unique ways animals and plants are designed to thrive in different habitats. We’ll also investigate how the growth and survival of living things are affected by the physical conditions of their environment gaining a deeper understanding of how factors like temperature, water, and light influence life on Earth.
