Term 3 is rapidly coming to an end and with it, the schooling career of our Year 12s. This is always a bittersweet time for students, parents and teachers as they transition from being school students to spreading their wings into the world like butterflies. Mr Pfitzner, Mr Dyson and the Student Wellbeing Team are busy ensuring all the protocols are in place to facilitate a smooth transition and provide support for those who require it.  This is a reminder that our Graduation celebration is on the 8th of November, when we celebrate all the achievements of the Year 12 cohort.

End of Semester Reports

You may have heard in the news of some changes to end-of-semester reporting requirements that the Government has announced. We are already looking at what this means for us as a school and will be working with staff and parents to see how we can maintain excellent communication between the school and parents in regard to student progress and achievement. Further information will be provided and we really value parental feedback and will be contacting families directly to determine the best way forward.

DPIRD Visit

If you see a helicopter on the front paddock, it is not my new way of getting to school! The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) are conducting an aerial survey of the area for feral pests (pigs and deer) using thermal imaging devices mounted on the helicopter.

The DPIRD officers are also talking with each year group to tell them about the survey and the role of DPIRD within agriculture. This is a unique opportunity to gain some insight and maybe consider a career path.
