Physical Education

What an enjoyable and active term 3 we have had…time certainly flies when you are having fun!

On Friday 5th September our Grade 3-6 students attended the District Cricket/Tennis/Basketball Sports day at Wesley Hill Recreation Reserve and Castlemaine Lawn Tennis Club.  It was a fantastic day of participation, fun, teamwork and skill development! Well done to all of our students on your enthusiasm. Thank you to all of our staff and volunteers who attended to support our students and help make it a brilliant day!

Grade F/1/2 students enjoyed performing the Bus Stop dance at assembly on Monday! Well done students – what a wonderful performance.  It was a delight to witness your learning and achievement!  Thinking about our next dance performance – stay tuned!

Last week we enjoyed practising our basketball skills, including ball control and ball bounce as well as engaged in some movement challenges and games to refine and combine some of our fundamental motor skills.  Students across all grade levels enjoyed partner activities, small group relays and whole group games including Relay Ball and Basketball Number Game – great fun, team work and skill development.

We concluded the term this week with a fun session of games.  Well done students on a fabulous term of participation, fun and fitness. Have a wonderful break over the spring holidays!

Looking forward to next term with our swimming program, School Athletics Sports Day and our F-2 students attending the District Schools Kickball Sports Day – stay tuned for further details early next term!
