What's in a name?

Last Friday (Sept 12th) we celebrated our school and parish feast day- The Holy Name of Mary. Mass was celebrated by Fr Declan and followed by an outdoor activity in which the children worked in groups to make their own "Mini Mary Name Garden." 

Names are special, they connect us to our family, culture and community.  They give us a sense of belonging and uniqueness. 

Mary was part of a family, culture and faith community. In the Hebrew language, she was known as Miriam. 

You might like to take the opportunity to share with your children what is special about the name you chose for them.

Confirmation Preparation

Thank you to the children in Yr 5 and 6 who attended the Confirmation Commitment Mass with their families on Sunday and  came along to a Confirmation preparation afternoon. We began the discussion of choosing a saint as a help and guide in your child's life. Keep an eye out for the Confirmation Challenge activity on Seesaw.
