From the Principal

Student Leadership Announcement 2026
It is with great pleasure that I formally announce the Year Twelve Student Leaders for 2026.
The selection of student leaders is foundational to our vision, that all graduates would become beacons of light in the world and have a positive and long-lasting impact in their communities.
Needless to say, the process of selecting our next school leaders is critical to our future and upholding a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging.
Under the direction of Deputy Principal - Head of Secondary, Mr Jordan Owenell, the school has undertaken a rigorous process to select student leaders. This process includes seeking nominations, gathering expressions of support from peers across the Secondary School, inviting students to participate in an aspirant leadership day, facilitating a staff leadership round table and specifically for the role of School Captain, conducting two interviews - one of which is with the Principal.
This process uncovers the strengths of those seeking to lead our community. Furthermore, it points to those students who are not naturally extroverted and have a different posture in the way they lead. These students often have the ability to lead from the sidelines, walk alongside others and quietly influence an inclusive culture without others watching.
I am thrilled to announce that in 2026, the new role of Community and Service Captains has been added to the student leadership team. This points our school towards greater awareness of the importance to lead from a place of servanthood, ensuring that student voice is promoted in decision-making and student engagement is cultivated across all facets of school life and the broader community.
I congratulate the following students on their appointment:

Blessing for leaders
May you have the grace and wisdom
To act kindly, learning to distinguish between what is personal and what is not.
May you be hospitable to criticism.
May you never put yourself at the centre of things.
May you act not from arrogance but out of service.
May you work on yourself,
Building up and refining the ways of your mind.
May those who work for you know you see and respect them.
May you learn to cultivate the art of presence in order to engage with those who meet you.
