Term 3 Wrap Up

As we come to the close of Term 3, it’s the perfect time to pause and celebrate some of the incredible achievements and opportunities our students have enjoyed over the past nine weeks.

One of the absolute highlights was our STEM Festival, which brought science, technology, engineering and mathematics to life across the school. From the excitement of the Amazing Race opening night to the hands-on workshops and experiments throughout the week, our students showcased their creativity, problem-solving and teamwork in ways that made us all proud. The energy, curiosity and sheer joy of learning was unmistakable, and it was a wonderful reflection of the dedication of our staff in planning such a rich learning experience.

In another first for Rosanna Golf Links Primary School, we had students take part in the State School Spectacular. This major event brought together schools from across Victoria in an inspiring showcase of music, dance and theatre. To see our students on such a grand stage was truly memorable, and their confidence, collaboration and passion for the arts shone through. Thanks to Bec, Fran and Abbey for their time and organisation.

Athletics has also been a strong focus this term, and our students have leapt, thrown and sprinted their way to impressive results. Congratulations go to Aaron and Steve, who earned selection into the Team Vic Track and Field team, an outstanding achievement that places them among the best student athletes in the state. We are also proud to announce that 18 of our students have progressed to the Regional Athletics competition, a reflection of their hard work and commitment to training.

Beyond these high-profile events, we continue to see strong and steady growth in student achievement across all areas of learning. Whether in classrooms, on stage, or on the sporting field, our students have shown perseverance, responsibility, respect and kindness, the values that guide us each day

As we look ahead to Term 4, we can do so with confidence that our students are not only achieving academically but also developing the skills, passions and confidence to thrive in every area of school life. Thank you to our dedicated staff, our supportive families, and most importantly, our wonderful students for making Term 3 one to remember.

Footy Day Fun!

Today was one of my favourite days on the school calendar, Footy Day! Even though my navy blue outfit was a little too true to the Blues’ season this year, the day was a wonderful reminder of how sport can bring people together. Students proudly donned their team colours, filling the school with a sea of stripes, sashes, and guernseys.

The morning parade was a real highlight, with cheers and chants echoing around as students celebrated their favourite clubs. Of course, no Footy Day would be complete without the much-anticipated staff versus students footy match. With plenty of laughs, some questionable umpiring calls, and a few surprising moves, it was a contest to remember!

Days like today show the power of community and the joy of shared traditions. A big thank you to everyone who joined in, what a fabulous way to finish the term together. And as for my Baggers… well, there’s always next season!

Take care,
