BSC ARTISTS ON DISPLAY! || We’re proud to see our students’ work featured in the 25th Annual Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition at the Bayside City Council Corporate Centre in Sandringham. This exhibition celebrates the creativity, ideas and unique perspectives of local young people and runs from 25 August to 8 October 2025.

MENTOR INTERVIEWS || Today, our Year 11 VCE Vocational Major students were tasked with interviewing their mentors, holding engaging 10‑minute conversations. The students did an incredible job, gaining valuable insights and experiences that will enrich their learning and personal growth.
These interviews are part of our ongoing intergenerational program with Bayside City Council, following weeks of inspiring activities—from boxing, stretching and yoga to exploring AI and creating music playlists. Across all sessions, students have shared stories, learned new skills and built meaningful connections across generations.

FROM TRACKSIDE TO LUNCHTIME – SUPPORTING THE RSPCA || The sausages left over from our Athletics Carnival didn’t go to waste — today they helped raise funds for the RSPCA! A big shout-out to our student helpers who did a fantastic job on the BBQ and serving.

YEAR 9 COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS || Our Year 9 Beyond students have wrapped up another successful Community Connections Program, volunteering at local primary schools, kindergartens and childcare centres. Students in the photography group captured the best of Beaumaris, showcasing community through their lens. We’re proud to see our students making a positive impact!

CELEBRATING STUDENT DEDICATION IN VCE ENGLISH LANGUAGE || Yesterday was the final after-school Growth workshop for VCE English Language! It has been fantastic to see so many students engaging consistently throughout the program, showing real dedication and motivation by attending regular sessions. These workshops have given students the opportunity to strengthen their skills, build confidence, share ideas, and gain new perspectives on approaching their studies. The commitment shown across the term has been solid, and it’s clear that students are taking ownership of their learning journey.

HOLMESGLEN TAFE TASTER - TILING || Yesterday, our Year 10 students continued their Construction Pathways program with a hands-on focus on tiling. Provided by the Department of Education, this taster gives students early exposure to VET subjects and insight into potential careers in fields such as tiling, carpentry, bricklaying and stonemasonry. Students are developing practical skills while deepening their understanding of Vocational Education and Training (VET) options for Years 11 and 12—an invaluable experience for those considering a trade!

YEAR 7 WELLBEING DAY || Our Year 7 students had a fantastic day strengthening friendships, building resilience and developing social and emotional skills in a fun supportive environment. From laughing through Bubble Soccer and dancing at the Silent Disco to tackling teamwork challenges and engaging in R U OK? Day and anti-bullying workshops, students explored ways to support themselves and each other both online and offline.

INTERGENERATIONAL PROGRAM: CONNECTIONS THAT LAST || Our Year 11 VCE Vocational Major students have completed the final session of the Bayside City Council Community Intergenerational Connections Program. Students enjoyed it so much that they’ve invited their mentors back for a college tour next week. We hope our mentors gained as much from the program as our students did.

GRIME DICE IN ACTION! || Year 7 students are putting their understanding of fractions, decimals and probability to the test with Grime Dice. They’re uncovering surprising results, investigating which die is most dominant, exploring sample spaces and tree diagrams, and solving problem both collaboratively and individually.

BEAUY BIG ARVO TEA || Today, our Year 9 Beyond students hosted the Beauy Big Arvo Tea in the MCC Pavilion as part of the Community Connections Program. Students did an outstanding job showcasing their skills while connecting with parents, staff and community members.

INSPIRING YOUNG ARTISTS AT BEAUMARIS PRIMARY || Our Year 9–12 Music and Drama students shared the joy of music today — performing and running workshops at Beaumaris Primary for their Arts Day!

R U OK? Day || Today is a reminder to ask “R U OK?”, but at Beaumaris, checking in with each other is something we do every day. In the lead‑up to R U OK? Day, we created a wall showing different ways to reach out to friends. Our GOAL sessions this week also encouraged students to reflect and have meaningful conversations with their peers.

DIVISIONAL ATHLETICS || Huge congratulations to our amazing athletes on their fantastic performances at today’s Divisional Athletics! Special shout-out to all students advancing to Regionals and to Amelie D, who was age champion for 16 girls. We also had two relay teams finish first — 16 boys and 15 girls! Go Beauy!
