F/1 Numeracy

We were measuring anything. We used the blocks to measure. We had to estimate an answer. Estimate means make a smart guess. Sometimes I got some right and sometimes wrong. I like measuring stuff with blocks.

We've been learning about capacity and we see how much something can hold and you can use sand, water and dirt. Anything that can't break and you can put it in a cup, anything that's round or can hold things. We measured how much water in a container and worked out which one had less and most. I thought Zayd would have less than me because his container was shorter, but I had less! It surprised me!

5/6 Buildings in Art. 

We have been learning how structures are made in literacy, so for art we are going to be designing and building our own structures. Firstly, in art, the students learnt how to draw building from 2 different perspectives and then make it their own. The results were very impressive. 

Buddy Time

F/1 have been learning about Diwali in south India. For this beautiful celebration, they create Rangolis-patterns with sand. In buddy time we made our own rangoli's.
